this was taken last summer, I wonder what this deer is up to now?

not that it does or should matter to you, but i think this is the “best” landscape photo i’ve done. near seward, AK.
nice lil fall jaunt along the st croix river!
shot at a semi-secret location pretty close to downtown St. Paul. it was very cool to see this, and also very cool to hear the chicks chirping while they waited for the mom eagle to tear up the fish!
highline trail - the hike of a lifetime!
listening to some fusion jazz and editing pics of cattle… this is a real life “wild” longhorn from oklahoma.
it’s spring around here, which means i’m still working through all the pics i took last fall.
maybe this is a flower blog, you tell me!
just west of yellowstone, somewhere in idaho
is it true? is spring really here?
in late 2019, i flew to denver to preserve my silver frequent flyer status (the lowest status you can have). now i look back at that trip as one symbol of what i’ve missed out on in these “during” times. i thought nothing of hopping on a plane almost on a whim and being back in my own home less than 24 hours later. these days, on my gov’t approved walks through the woods, i’m happy to see 3 or 4 deer. on a random morning just outside of denver, with no planning, i saw this huge herd of elk. i was so fortunate and couldn’t fully appreciate it until now.
this week made me want to post something patriotic. it was a long standing hope that i’d get to visit all 50 states, and shortly after i did that, i passed through Washington, DC, which was kind of like a bonus level.
somewhere between marshall, MN and madison, SD.
i forget exactly where this was taken, somewhere near deception pass, but i liked the look of this windswept tree.
trying to use this extra indoor time to rifle through my archives, this is a result of that.
i wasn’t able to make the annual october trip to vermont, so all of this was shot in MN, and nearly all of it was shot within a mile of my home.
GMC sent me a nice email to remind me that my truck and I are celebrating our one year anniversary! i know this isn’t my usual subject matter, but my truck is what gets me to the places where i capture much of my wildlife/landscape stuff. plus this is my website and i’m not trying to be an influencer of any sort, so i’ll post what i please.
still haven’t fully sorted through/edited pictures from my alaska trip two years ago. but i stumbled across this one and i felt like “finishing” it.
i’d wanted to see a moose in the wild for a long time. finally did!
