this wasn’t actually at big bug creek, but it’s in the same county. this is courthouse butte, as seen from the trail at sunrise.
winter solstice
are you having a nice winter? this is timm’s hill near omega, wisconsin. it’s the highest point in the state.
in a region of clouds
i hereby resolve to post here more regularly. just got back from sedona, the views from all energy vortices i visited were great, but this one in boynton canyon was especially nice.
trip of the year?
i’ve been #blessed to be able to travel quite a bit this year, but this particular trip was especially nice. i first went to montana at age 14 and since then had always day dreamed about exploring it in more depth, as well as whatever else was on the road on the way out to the washington coast. in the intervening 23 years, i’ve had 3 failed attempts and finally did it this summer.
additionally, with any type of creative project i do, i have two goals that hopefully coincide: capture how i felt at the moment, and communicate that feeling to the audience in an emotionally honest way. well, i feel like there are parts of this video that accomplish my first goal (especially part 3, scene b), and i’ll leave it you to decide if i delivered on the second goal.

imaginary roads
near my one of my happiest places in Windham County, Vermont. if this image doesn’t convey my emotions about being here, then i suggest you listen to “Garage Planet’ by Will Ackerman to fill in the rest.
Glacier
This was the reward for an 18 hour drive, including an overnight shift across northern Montana.
BEARS
Oh my, the bears of Katmai.
